Sift is a Discord moderation bot that reads messages in context instead of matching words. As of today it's open to every server, and the free plan includes 3,000 smart checks a month.
What it does on day one
- Deletes lookalike and scam links the moment they're posted.
- Stops hacked accounts spamming the same link across channels.
- Catches filter dodging: spaced-out words, lookalike characters and split messages.
- Flags members posing as server staff.
- Alerts your mods when a burst of new accounts joins, and can lock the server for you.
- Stops anyone mass-deleting channels or roles.
- Gives your mods case cards, strikes and appeals.
Setting it up
Add Sift, then have the server owner run /setup and pick a log channel and a mod role. Drag Sift's role above the roles it should be able to act on. That's it. The docs cover the rest.
What happens when checks run out
Smart checks pause until the 1st of the month. Link blocking, spam limits, raid protection and your blocklist keep running regardless, and your log channel gets a heads-up at 80%.
