I run a server

  • Sift isn't doing anything. Check that /setup has been run and a log channel is set, and that the channel isn't exempt.
  • It can't time out or ban someone. Move Sift's role above theirs in Server Settings → Roles.
  • Too many flags. Raise the review threshold in /settings or add the phrase to the allowlist.
  • Checks ran out. /premium status shows usage. Link, spam and raid protection keep working until the 1st.

I was moderated

Sift acts for the server's own moderators, and they make the final call. If you think a ban, kick or timeout was a mistake:

  1. Open a DM with Sift.
  2. Run /appeal and pick the server.
  3. A private ticket opens with that server's team. Explain what happened there.

We can't overturn a server's decision for them. Each server's team runs its own rules.
