Child safety runs on every message that gets a smart check, regardless of category toggles. It uses a fixed low threshold, separate from your server's harassment or spam settings.
What it looks for
- Sexual interest in or contact with minors.
- Grooming patterns or exploitation.
- Endorsement or solicitation of CSAM-related behavior.
Safety reserve
If a free server uses up its monthly smart checks, instant rules still run. A small monthly reserve can still run child-safety and self-harm reads for messages that look dangerous — see your limit notice in Discord.
Response
Serious hits delete the message, log a case, and may page moderators urgently. Members are not debated with in public.
